Branch of Sin:
Lightning Rhapsody

Branch of Sin Ability:
From thumb tacks that draw blood atop of her cheeks, Pika can manipulate it to shoot out like electricity, which can sting like a taser or feel like thunder enclosing in depending on how much of it rains down upon the target. With Lightning Rhapsody, she could also form a ball composing of this blood over her hand to shoot at incoming opponents. As Pika's Branch of Sin contains strange properties, it can spread far and wide after successfully hitting the specific target, usually leading to Pika being zapped as well. If one were to make physical contact with the blood, then they can experience a literal shock, unless she happens to be unconscious at the time or somehow maintaining a control over her blood.

Fighting Style:
Pika is what you'd call careless in a fight and will just charge forward without thinking about the consequences. One may call her suicidal but that is simply how she operates in Carnival Corpses. On the other hand, she can be quite unpredictable with her attacks, alternating between close combat and long ranged proximity. Quite surprisingly enough, she also proves rather fast and durable. If she really wants to win, on the other hand, which is admittedly a rare occurrence, then Pika will resort to sly tactics, like incorporating feints into her attacks and possibly using every dirty trick in the book.

Physical Strength(s):
Speed and offense

Physical Weaknesses:
Accuracy, defense and endurance

Taken Out of Body:
Part of the liver (from a loss to Toto Sakigami) and an ear (from a loss to Minatsuki Takami)

Hair Colour:
Light platinum blonde

Hair Length:
Long, reaching just below her chest

Eye Colour:
Biologically brown

Eye Shape:
Round-ish almond eyes

Clothes:
Pika wears a thin sweater with half being red on the left side and the other half being yellow on the right side. The red sleeve actually stops a little past the elbow while the yellow sleeve goes up to the wrist. Other than her collar, the rest of her attire is black, complete with finger-less gloves, skirt and leggings. Like Shiro, she also doesn't seem to wear shoes.

Body:
Pika has a slender frame that is shaped like a triangle. Accompanied by a small waist are slightly defined curves that jut out enough to appear feminine. As a death-row inmate, it goes without saying that she would develop a bit of muscle during her time there, which could be found around her legs and a bit on her stomach. Though not as muscular as Senji is, Pika does have one pack abs.

Scars/Tattoos/Birth Marks:
Pika has faded cuts on her cheeks that one normally can't see, unless they peer closer, but then again, it's usually covered up by strands of hair. From a fight with Minatsuki, she also has a scar from her left wrist that looks as though it's slashed by a knife when it really isn't.

Accessories:
Blood Converter Jewelry
This can be found on her back underneath the collar and sweater. It is possible to take it off, but Pika grew oddly attached to the pointy ends of the jewelry and decided to keep them on.

Eye Contacts
As her vision grew worse, Pika eventually purchased eye contacts with her Cast Points. There hadn't exactly been a reason why they came in yellow and red, besides the fact that she thought it would create a "nice touch" on her appearance. Over time, Pika modified the red eye to have a homing tracer that activates in combat, which guides the rate of speed, time and position needed to properly use her Branch of Sin the most effective way. She doesn't rely on it often but if serious about winning, Pika will use it as many times as she wished.

Black Ribbons
These were a gift from her late mother as a reward for learning to play a song when she was three years old. Pika kept them ever since as a memento of her, which she would have in her own twin pigtails growing up. As it's really important to her, she will grow frantic, upon losing them. They can now be found in her hair, where it's arranged in two loops at the back.

Biography:
When Pika was born, her mother, Chiyoko, happened to be a widow. The woman had lost her husband, Daichi, who was an aspiring musician at the time, from depression and drug overdose, as a result of nobody "appreciating" his music. Unfortunately, though, he never became aware of the pregnancy. Ever since then, Chiyoko wanted her daughter to continue from where he left off, so she taught Pika how to play the piano at the young age of 3. She had always encouraged her to keep playing but a year after that, the Tokyo Earthquake struck. In the end, Chiyoko became impaled by a shard of falling glass while trying to save Pika, who had currently been half buried underneath a pile of rubble. At some point or another, she might also have been infected with the Nameless Worm, possibly even before that.

Thankfully, the girl's aunt came along just in time to rescue her, accompanied by husband Kyosuke Mikami and their daughter Saya Mikami, but by then, however, they were honestly too late. Pika's mother had already died. Ever since then, she was adopted by them and taken to live in Sapporo, which became what she was used to for basically the rest of her 14 years. During that time, Pika had been thought of as a bright, outstanding lady with a bright future ahead of her. She possessed exceptionally good grades in school and nearly made the top of her class a few times.

 What didn't change, on the other hand, was her attachment to the piano. Some days, Pika will just play for hours on end, even without there being a recital to prepare for. Other times, well, she would simply be found alongside her uncle, Kyosuke, in the garage. Eventually, she self taught herself how to create things out of scratch like machinery and kitchen devices to more. She hadn't really discovered her Branch of Sin until making a unique jewelry that connects to her own veins, which had the capability to convert blood flow into electricity and charge mobile devices. Ever since then, however, her abilities itself became modified yet also unstable.

Whenever she found herself bleeding, Pika couldn't exactly control the random bouts of electricity shooting out nor would it stop, even after pulling it off. Upon discovering the sort of damage her Branch of Sin could do to the trees, Pika had resolved to restrict her contact with the outside world entirely, save for attending school or taking part in piano concerts. Her classmates themselves were considerably friendly and lacking in evil intentions, but given her sheltered nature, she always figured that there was 'good' in everyone.

One day, on the other hand, Saya managed to convince Pika to join her at the Sapporo Maruyama Zoo, where she had accidentally fallen into a lion's enclosure and was consequently attacked. In order to prevent her death, the girl had unconsciously fought back with her Branch of Sin, which fired  bolts of blood converted electricity that not only killed the lion, but also a few spectators alongside a couple of workers. Thankfully, though, Saya was generally unharmed. From that point on, however, she became arrested and placed on trial for the electrocution of the lion and other victimized citizens. Despite Saya trying desperately hard to vouch for her cousin, Pika was ultimately sent to Deadman Wonderland.

In the span of time she spent there, which was about over a year, Pika's appearance gradually changed from a plain Jane senior high school student to an oddly dressed, hetero-chromatic death row inmate dwelling in G-Ward. Apparently, it is said that she picked up her weird fashion sense from a former cell mate whom later died in a Carnival Corpse match.

Personality:
Basically, Pika's an "I got your back!" kind of gal once you bother befriending her. She's pretty much straightforward and won't exactly hesitate on helping a stranger she only knew for a few seconds; in other words, the girl is pretty much a good-natured kid (yet also naive), with all things being considered. As a habit of hers, Pika tends to replace the word "you" with the word "chu". She happens to have a lot of self confidence and thus, can prove pretty cheeky at times. Either way, she always finds something to tease the other person about.

On the other hand, if they tease her right back, Pika would actually be the one growing embarrassed; furthermore, she has a weakness for any type of affection. A hug or a kiss would simply make her melt into a puddle of bashfulness, though she secretly adores the attention. Pika is the type to only fight if really required (or knows she can't win); otherwise, she might be spewing off nonsense like friendship and magic while making a point of emphasizing it's importance.

Above all else, though, Pika's shown to harbor a masochistic side from being able to successfully get off by feeling pain. It might have been for the fact her circumstances in Deadman Wonderland had conditioned this unusual obsession, yet either way, she mainly participates in the Carnival Corpse to get hurt and 'die'. In fact, the girl often fantasizes morbidly about her death. To be clear, Pika doesn't actually like harming people, but forcibly being on the receiving end of it is all fair game to her; furthermore, she finds pain to be more exquisite upon struggling with all her might not to be hurt. Then again, friendship would be what she values the most out of the two, so she doesn't mind dying for a friend.

Now that she has grown half deaf, however, it is noted that she will always listen quite attentively to whoever is talking to her by possibly even moving closer to them if needed. Despite her rather gullible nature, Pika is also considerably gifted. Aside from being musically talented in the piano, she had additionally invented several homing devices and even installed a couple of cameras into prison cells as well as a GPS tracker to monitor certain individuals in Deadman Wonderland.

Like(s):
Playing the piano, pain, friendship, BDSM magazines, My Little Pony, sadists, magic tricks,

Dislike(s):
Having to hurt those she holds dear, thinking about her mother, not being able to hear what other people say, her slight deafness,

Hobbies:
Piano and practicing rope bondage on dolls

Goal(s):
As stated before, Pika just wanted to die in the most painful way possible in Deadman Wonderland but if she ever did get out, participating in a BDSM porno getting back to playing piano would be nice.

Relationship(s):
Parents -
Daichi Ichinose
As Pika never met her father, she doesn't really know exactly what he's like. From what the girl is told, however, Daichi had been a really handsome yet gloomy individual obsessed with Pikachu merchandise. It was probably the reason Chiyoko dedicated the name 'Pika' unto their daughter.

Chiyoko Ichinose
Chiyoko was a music teacher in an elementary school, but to Pika, she was a quiet yet kindly woman. As her death was rather traumatizing, the girl honestly didn't like thinking about her mother. Though their time together was quite short, Pika treasured every moment of it and is rather thankful Chiyoko introduced her to the piano. Every now and then, however, she would still cry over her death after playing the first song she was taught.

Sibling(s) -
N/A

Relative(s):
Kyosuke Mikami
Pika seemed to have a healthy relationship with her uncle. He was an understanding man that seemed crazy about fixing cars. As a child, she remembered being given piggy back rides and the faint scent of his coat. One way or another, Pika never minded the filthy garage as they both tinkered with tools together, whenever he wasn't busy. Either way, Kyosuke served as the only father figure she ever had since her own was already long dead before her birth. The man openly welcomed Pika with open arms and made itself known that he was proud to have another brilliant daughter. After that, the only reason she knew of his death had been through Saya, which became news that made her upset.

Hisano Mikami
Compared to her mother, Hisano was a doting and affectionate parent. Like all parents are, on the other hand, she proved a bit embarrassing at times but of course, the woman obviously meant well. Considering the things Pika had just gone through as a child, Hisano always went out of her way to look out for the girl. Though sometimes overly concerned, she always made sure to make her feel loved as a whole. From how Hisano was nowhere to be found after Pika and Saya escaped Deadman Wonderland, it's safe to assume that she might have died or committed suicide, given the events that took place, like her husband dying and both her children having gone to a prison for possibly their whole lives.

Saya Mikami
Pika's manly cousin. They have a sisterly bond together, yet on the other hand, her protective nature can be a bit overbearing at times. Though she understands Saya just cares about her, she is absolutely certain that she doesn't need to be looked after 24/7, not to mention the fact that her potential deaths already became interrupted many times. In short, the other girl is basically a knight in shining armor Pika didn't need, but then again, she could never hate herself for it.

Much to her annoyance, Saya likes to call her Pikachu, which is something she believes isn't as cute as she is. Other times, though, Pika is just frustrated that she even bothers trying to change her. Up until now, the girl was already convinced that dying in Deadman Wonderland had truly been ideal but here, Saya contradicts that entirely. As much as Pika loves her cousin, on the other hand, it's a running gag that the girl often has a strange, ninja-like tendency of being nowhere to be found when she needs her. Despite this being unintentional, Saya will ensure to keep her within sight for as much as possible.

Toto Sakigami
Before Toto first met Yosuga and had Hagire Rinichiro's memories implanted inside him, Pika was the one who approached the boy, on account of how troubled he looked. As it turned out, he had apparently lost his Cast Card and being the kind person she was, Pika offered to help him out and in the end, they ended up finding it together. At that point on, she really thought they became friends. Especially considering the fact Toto was always 'nice' to her, Pika became encouraged to spend more time in his company.

As luck would have it, however, her first Carnival Corpse involved fighting him. It was back when she still valued friendship more than fighting and dying, but either way, Pika just forfeited the match. This caused her to lose part of her liver in a penalty game, though it wasn't as if she minded at the time. Toto, on the other hand, felt guilty but her cell mate had out-rightly stalked over and lied about how she never wanted anything to do with him anymore for the sake of her own well-being, which was enough to convince the boy to stop conversing with Pika entirely.

After that, they just grew distant. Pika didn't know exactly when it started, but Toto no longer spared so much as a glance towards her anymore. It made her shocked, to the point of just standing motionless in the middle of G Ward's main hallway at one point. Later on, however, her cell mate made her think that Toto no longer cared about her and so, she forgot about him for a while... that is, until Pika started watching more of his Carnival Corpse matches.

Little by little, the girl eventually developed 'feelings' for him. Additionally, there was the implication that from time to time, she even masturbated to those video clips. Once Pika had encountered him again as Hagire's third generation counterpart, however, it made a really lasting impression on her. Quite honestly enough, he proved even more alluring than she expected and it... made her really more flustered and aroused than she was used to. It may be akin to love or lust, but then again, she finds her heart skipping a beat around him. At the very least, though, Toto seems to harbor an interest towards her, considering how her Branch of Sin is rather unique.

Minatsuki Takami
Pika simply adores the girl, though for reasons that normally don't apply to regular people. It was because Minatsuki afflicted her with so much pain during one of the Carnival Corpse matches that their relationship never became the same. Needless to say, Pika would openly gush about her and occasionally pursue the girl, who unsurprisingly thinks of her as a disgusting masochist. She calls her Mina-chan and expresses delight when faced with torment; regardless, Pika does whatever she says, whether it be fetching her a juice box or spending all her Cast Points on whatever she wanted.

In the end, Minatsuki treats her as a slave. Despite this, Pika likes keeping tabs on her, which includes installing a camera in an unnoticeable corner of the room. Then again, Saya seems to have a strong mutual dislike for Minatsuki. Considering how she was the one at fault for Pika losing an ear, her cousin thinks that the girl is a bad influence as a whole. Whenever she sees Minatsuki around her, let's just say that it is not good news. Saya would immediately assume that she is up to no good and fly to Pika's defense, which usually leads to arguments flying back and forth.

Yoh Takami

Though he may be a thief, Pika honestly wanted to help him. Yoh may have manipulated her and toyed with her emotions, but in the end, he complimented on her plaintive appearance and gave that confidence boost she now possessed. It was basically what made Pika receive a huge ego, considering how nobody else besides her deceased cell mate ever bothered to say such things. In the end, she never figured out what Yoh's intentions were, though the moment Pika had learned about his relation with Minatsuki, she immediately expressed the desire to aid in his ambition to free her.

Perhaps she was indeed naive, but the girl could only see good from him. To Pika, he seemed a whole lot like the older brother she never had, especially upon comforting her when her old cell mate died. Even after becoming friends with Ganta and the others, she trusts him wholeheartedly, to the point where such a thing couldn't have been ignored. Over time, it became apparent that Yoh grew to care about her more, as he had once been concerned and yelled at Pika for acting reckless.

Despite the fact he wasn't necessarily her type, she still feels warm and fuzzy whenever he initiates a casual form of affection with her (like patting her head, amongst other things).
